Bit by bit
fall to pieces,
dreams that never came true.
I was wrong;
I wasn't made for you.
Shredded to bits
are all those moments
When I believed in thee.
I was wrong;
You weren't made for me.
Eyes never looked
in the same direction
To understand you never bothered
I was wrong;
We weren't made for each other.

a deep hurt,
a wounded heart...
is that all
that you nurse...
now dat u know
the truth that there is!!
nice lines... keep them coming!!
Superb poetry. Pain and art go hand in hand. You seem hurt. Take care.
It's labeled under crap, hurt, love and mistake at the same time!!! How scintillating :)
No wonder when we make a mistake in love, we get hurt and say crappy things :) touché!
Lovely poem, Phoenix. It actually made me go... awwweeeeeee :) Looking forward to more.
The past is best forgotten when the future awaits you,
Life is full of surprises and for all you know,
The best may be on the way and may descend upon you one day.
A feeble attempt please bear with me.
To paraphrase Dylan :
How many years must a lover devote to a relationship
Before he/she realizes that they are made for each other?
how do i comment?

Thanks.
But thankfully
I nurse
more than pain
and a wounded heart
at least not just my own
and in the confusion
of the pluralism
and the distraction
hopefully
the bitter truths
are blurred.

Actually, I'm not. this one's random really, written as typed. Was experimenting if one cd write anything on the sad theme without being in pain themselves.
but thanks anyway :)

All together labels too give that new meaning and that eternal truth...love is a crappy mistake that hurts :P

Hey! Nice to see you here and thanks for the all the hopeful lines :)

"Made for each other", like "forever" and many such concepts, is a crappy imaginary romantic concept :)
Nonetheless, interesting question.
I once had a long conversation on this with a friend in whose opinion the number of yrs one needed to be in a relationship before one is sure this is the person i should be for the rest of my life/marry is a function of the age when they get together, and varies from one to five...
What's ur take?
