Along the corridors of life
you walk.
Knocking at a few shut windows
Missing a few open doors
Mostly, pretending to be nice,
you walk
along the corridors of life.
And passes by neglected, overlooked,
a lot.
Moments when you deceived yourself
And became what you were and never knew
That moment when you hated the truth,
a lot,
passes by, neglected, overlooked.
And everything else is a haze
unresolved.
The efforts to think and to feel
The energy in the anger and the zeal
It's all a maze of thoughts, unfiltered,
unresolved,
and everything else is a haze.
Sometimes it helps to stop and ask
yourself
Just who are you running from, and to
Just what do you truly believe!
How much do you really love?
...yourself?
sometimes it helps to stop and ask:
Just how much of the devil
is inside you?
you walk.

Devil...inside me...never...;-)))
Good one :-))
me=10%self+50%devil+10%mom+10%dad+10%maternal side+10%paternal side.....???
100%devil is better.....!!
and what lies in the big picture?
Good poem. Good point, and a good way to make it! The third stanza is specially good. :)
I agree, more or less.
one seeks in desperation answers to certain questions, half wishing at times to escape the answers......
is every right answer right for everyone, everytime? or is there something like a appropriate time/situation/wisdom to make best out of the answers one dreads yet feels imperative to define/understand self independently and in the context of dependent/independent existence.....what different a devil would be if there were no humans?
I stop and ask often, but could never find an answer. Maybe I need to refresh the memories of those neglected moments and hated truths; which I find inconvenient. A sleeping devil is good.
there is a devil inside .. and its stronger then ever .. it needs to send that fire out .. irrespective of the fact that it'll burn the good in me .. but m fighting hard .. and thinking that I should give him some food, so as to calm him down ;)

Is there a big picture?
Thanks.

it's not the answers that one may wish to escape, it's the implied responsibility of accepting them.
Right and wrong is entirely subjective, and you know that. It's the process that's important, and humbling. Being wrong is fine, being stubborn about it, dunno.
Too many questions and too many answers are both bad, too much human is as bad as too much devil. But then good and bad is subjective too.
