Love does not make itself felt in the desire of copulation with someone ( a desire that may extend to infinitely many) but in the desire of sharing sleep with someone ( a desire limited to one).
~The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Milan Kundera
How touching. And true. Think about the person you really want to fall asleep beside, safe, snug and happy, and you know love. A single metaphor can give rise to love.

I see no reason why the desire of sharing sleep with someone can not extend to more than one. I'd agree that this number would be far less than that for the desire of copulation.. but 'one' is just too romantic.
And that extension that you proposed.. With words like 'safe' and 'snug' most men would find it difficult to buy, and so would the 'young and rebellious' women!
[vik]I don't know, I was just quoting Kundera, and while one in an entire lifetime is not possible perhaps, one at a given moment of time in life could be possible.
Yeah, you could find stuitably non-feminine equivalents of the adjective, but my underlying pt remains the same, people u really love, are those u wd like to fall asleep beside, wake up against n even watch them go to sleep
:))
I agree to vik... thats its just one who is all and all :DD
Sleep mein to akela rehne do, cheaieyn se, sleep bhi share karni padegi kya ab, god's sake!
yes u r right, true.
i second vibhav ...[:D]
I agree people u really love, are those u would like to fall asleep beside and wake up with :)
No matter how was your day, you much you messed up at work front, how wrong the things were but if you are sleeping beside the person you truly luv you will surely feel safe, secure n snug. Miles away from worries. Every morning when you get up a mere glimpse of someone is enough to give a hope and keep you going.
This was really a touching one.
sweet
Your blog generally sucks. Very boring articles.

Bachaao! Maine aisa kab kaha? Khair.. women, and their love for that word. :)
Waise, I agree to that too! :P
[Vibhav]
Good point..
so true :)
I so totally agree! Its the best feeling to feel comfy in someone's arms!and the best part to have someone by our side whom we can trust even if we fall from the bed or do rolli poli (I knw it sounds lame but its fun to kick the person beside u unknowingly :p )
Seeing someone sleeping - serenity written all over - is another bliss :)
[vik]
Are, to maine bhi aisa kab kaha?
[pooja]

[metallica bhakt]
Yep, besttttt feeling ever. Touch is an incredible sensation. The touch of trust.. woah
[anand]
Absolutely....nothing a scenery more beautiful than peace on the lovely face sleeping beside.
Anyone can find someone to sleep with, Alas, finding the one that one can share the sleep with is the difficult part.
Very true ....safe in someone's arms...:)it gives a feeling of comfort and security and stability that at least one part of life is always OK....
Is this what you mean?
interesting.
[johney]
I never said it was easy. In fact, if one were to believe Kundera, it's just *one* person. One in so many! Look at the odds.
[aditi]
That security, isn't it priceless?
[mostlybhu]
Not entirely, but you know, you could make an interesting connect with that article :)
That's a great line and it is a great book! Amazingly beautiful. :)
[prad]
:) Quite something, indeed. I dont know why I never read Kundera before.
